How the two wave knobs on a PolyBrute oscillator work

The questiongive me a breakdown of how the 2 osc knobs work on the polybrute

Each PolyBrute oscillator makes a sawtooth, a triangle and a square all the time. The two knobs with symbols under them decide how much of each you hear.

42 seconds, no voice. The captions carry every step. The sound follows each move; it isn't recorded from a PolyBrute.
The short answer

Each VCO makes three waves at once. The two knobs mix them.

Four steps

  1. Start with both at the left: the sawtooth on the first, Σ on the second.

    0:08
  2. Turn the first one right. The saw fades into the triangle.

    0:14
  3. Now the second. It fades that blend into the square. With the second all the way right, the first does nothing.

    0:20
  4. Set the second at noon, then move the first: all three in the blend.

    0:28

Three waves. Two knobs.

Good to know

The first knob blends sawtooth into triangle. The second takes whatever the first is giving (that is what the sigma means: the sum) and blends it into the square. VCO 2 has the same pair.
